Field Notes:

I have visited this spot in Canmore many times but never while the leaves were so gold.  I am reminded by the Robert Frost Poem, “Nothing Gold Can Stay”.  Life is a series of moments and in between those moments we experience transitions in life.  Early on as children we want to grow up and be an adult “Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold”.  As an adult we live in the moment and relish our accomplishments yet only to give way to the next phase in our lives, “So dawn goes down to day.  Nothing gold can stay.”
